36" x 18" · This sign is currently hanging in the Amerian Hotel in Cerro Gordo, California. Built in 1871, the American Hotel is one of the oldest hotels still in existance in California. It has been maticulously restored over the years and still hosts weddings and parties. Cerro Gordo is situated high atop the Inyo Mountians east of Owens Valley. Cerro Gordo was one of the richest producing silver mines and has a long colorful history.
